What happens when you reach your limit.
There are no overage charges. Your plan’s monthly sends are a ceiling, not a starting price, so the bill you expect is the bill you get.
Only real sends count
A send is one message handed to Apple, Google, a browser, your mail server or your SMS gateway. Hold-out, capped and opted-out recipients are free.
You hear from us early
We email the account owner at 80% and again at 100% of the month’s sends.
Then sends pause, not your app
Past the limit, new sends are refused (the API answers 402 and the delivery log shows quota_exceeded) and nothing is charged.
Back on track
The count resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Upgrade any time and sending continues straight away.

What counts as a send?
One message handed to Apple, Google, a browser, your mail server or your SMS gateway. Held-back (hold-out), frequency-capped and opted-out recipients are never counted.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
Nothing is billed by surprise. We email you at 80% and 100% of your sends. Past the limit, new sends are refused (the API answers 402) until the month resets or you upgrade.
Do I pay per subscriber?
No. Every plan has unlimited subscribers, devices and people. You only choose a plan by how many messages you send.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Starter is free with no card. Paid plans are billed monthly by card and you can cancel at any time, or prepay for up to 12 months.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, at any time from Billing. When you switch, unused time on your current plan is credited. If you move to a smaller plan, nothing is deleted; you just can’t add more than the new limits allow.
Do Firebase, email or SMS cost extra?
Perchpush sends through your own accounts. Firebase Cloud Messaging is free from Google; your mail server and SMS gateway bill you directly at their own rates.
What are AI assists?
Calls to the built-in AI that drafts copy, translates messages, turns plain-English audience descriptions into filters and explains delivery errors. They are pooled per account per day. Add your own Cloudflare key for unlimited calls.
Is Intelligent Delivery on the free plan?
Intelligent Delivery, local-time sends, A/B tests and hold-out groups come with Growth and Business. Starter includes scheduling, quiet hours, segments, templates and journeys.
